Town of Lake Cowichan - 2024 Business Update
We lost a few businesses over the winter months but gained some exciting ones too.
Ice Cream Impossible - deep fried ice cream is now a yoga studio, so your after-float options for ice cream are more limited, but luckily the Tube Shack has you covered with Cowabunga Cones and real fruit ice cream.
The Farm Table Inn also closed, which was a favourite for after Shack finer dining, but Jakes, J&V’s and the Riverside have you covered.
The Lake Kids Store has closed but all their cool inventory can still be found in the Lake Mercantile main store.

OK, OK, enough with what we lost, what did we gain?
We now have a town bakery that has treats, waffles, donuts and coffee, which is located very close to the Tube Shack.
Too classy for a donut? We now have a tea room across the road from Ed's Coffee House in the purple and yellow building (you really, really can't miss it).
Annnnnnnd bubble tea at Garden Made. Smoothies, bubble tea and salads, finally something healthy to eat, and also really close to the Shack at 92 South Shore Rd.
So here's the perfect day: grab a coffee at Ed’s, a croissant from the bakery for breakfast, a bubble tea for your float, then a real fruit ice cream for your post float reward. Treat yourself, in Lake Cowichan.
